How to Wear White into Fall

fall

Fall is in full swing, but are you missing the color of the summer?

White was huge during the warm months of 2014, here’s how to incorporate it into your fall wardrobe:

– Instead of opting for a deeper color, choose a bag with a classic silhouette in a bright white.

– Ditch the evergreens and burgundy and opt for an eye catching sweater in ivory or cream.

– For an easy way to inject white into your fall wardrobe, a watch might work for you. With a simple white band and bright face, a watch in white will brighten up even the dreariest of days.

– Going for black and white pants can elevate your fall look. Geometric or floral prints in monochrome are definitely the way to go.

– A white coat is chic and warm. It’s a win, win!

– White boots can look a little hard to keep clean, but if you purchase leather or suede, you can apply water proofing spray or polish. This makes them super easy to clean and extends the life of your boots dramatically.

Would you incorporate white into your fall wardrobe or do you only wear it before labor day? Tell us below!

At Alberta Ferretti, models has glowing skin and tousled hair. Here’s how to recreate the look:

Makeup:

Start with a freshly washed and moisturized face. Use a sheer, lightweight primer and a thin coat of foundation. Apply highlighter to forehead, cheeks, chin and top of nose. Use a light dusting of powder with a swipe of light pink blush on the apples of your cheek. Take a brow pencil and accentuate the eyebrows. Use a pale, shimmering eyeshadow in brown, pink or cream. Make a small, thin line with eyeliner as close to your lashes as possible. Put on a bit of clear lipgloss and a touch of mascara and you’re good to go!

Hair:

Allow damp hair to air dry after spraying with some sea salt texturizing spray. Here’s how to make our own!

At Tom Ford, dark smoky eyes and teased hair took over.

Makeup: Apply your foundation and powder as you usually would. Apply black eyeshadow on eyelid, up to crease and around bottom of eye, as you would eyeliner. Use a dark grey shadow and blend from crease to just below browbone. Line entire eye with black eyeliner and dont be shy with the mascara. Use a light pink lipstick with a touch of gloss on top.

Hair: All the models walking the show had wigs made especially for them, but if you’re really in love with the hair, here’s how you get it: Starting with a shoulder length bob, choppy layers made with a razor (think Debby Harry) tease hair and spray with hairspray to set.

Makeup: Starting with a clean face, use a cream foundation and use a golden, shimmery bronzer in place of blush on the cheeks. Use the same bronzer or a cream eyeshadow in a similar color and coat the entire eyelid. Define eyebrows and use a matte pink lipstick.

Hair: Here‘s a quick little video that shows you how to get slicked back hair super easily!

Every Woman’s Must-Have Accessories:

Generally speaking, I’m a pretty minimalistic person when it comes to accessories. I strongly believe in Coco Chanel’s words of wisdom “Always take one piece of jewelry off before you leave the house.” However, every outfit needs a bit of oomph. Here are all the accessories you need to take your looks to the next level.
Jewelry:
1.       Keep it Clean:

These dainty bracelets lend a bit of sparkle to even the dullest tee shirt and jeans combo without being overwhelming.
2.       Make a Statement:

Now, this doesn’t mean it has to be a giant, gaudy necklace. Statement necklaces can still be classy, even work appropriate if you pick the right ones.
3.       Here’s a Ring You Can Say, “I Do” To:

If you don’t have a wedding band to flaunt, you’ve got even more real estate for some ahh-dorable rings. Fancy up your fingers with these bands.
4.       Earring Bling:

Invest in some heavy metal when it comes to your belt. Your waist will thank you.

Chevron, floral, polka dots, stripes, you name it, there’s a scarf with that on it. Tie one loosely around your neck for a Parisian spin on things or knot it on your bag to take your carry-all, all the more stylish.
3.       Structured Purses:

Having a slightly boxier feel when it comes to purses creates a more sophisticated air than slouchy hobo bags or satchels. Whether a tote or a clutch, boxier is better.

Fall’s Hottest Colors and How to Wear Them

intern1

Most of you have probably heard that Radiant Orchid was named 2014’s “Color of the Year” by Pantone, but what about the other it- colors of the year?

Instead of opting for monochrome outfits, dare to add some color to the colder months!

Here are six breathtaking hues you can easily work into your fall wardrobe- and stay looking fresh throughout fall.

ox/orchid
  1. Oxblood: This interesting alternative to burgundy is the ultimate fall color. It’s warm and inviting, but mature enough to make an appearance in your workplace.A midi skirt in oxblood pairs perfectly with strappy sandals for summer, or with tights and booties for colder months; pair a pair of flats with a sweater dress for a no-fuss look that will keep you cute and cozy.
  2. Orchid: A sophisticated blend of pink and purple, orchid is a versatile shade that adds a pop of spring to even the gloomiest chilly day. Add an orchid clutch to even the simplest of dresses and bring a dash of color to any occasion.
blue/emerald
  1. Electric Blue: Bored with your makeup routine? Swipe some bright blue liner on your lids and amp up your eyes.If blue makeup is a bit much for you, try a smart double breasted coat in blue instead of a predictable neutral.
  2. Emerald: Need to up your weekend shoe game? Try a strappy heel with lots of hardware in a shade of emerald or define your waist in style with a skinny green belt.
orange/purple
  1. Orange: Lots of women shy away from a bold shade of orange, but it’s a surprisingly easy color to wear. Upgrade a drab sweater by choosing outerwear in a bold tangerine. Add a statement necklace or an orange coat of polish if you’re not ready to commit to an orange pullover.
  2. Aubergine: This intense plum adds a classy shot of color to any article of clothing. Try an aubergine dress for your next office happy hour!
